What's Cooking?
I can finally talk about the new web series that I've been working on for months now. It's called What's Cooking? and it's for allrecipes.tv, the new video site of allrecipes.com the biggest food website in the world. Click here to check out the press release on the launch of allrecipes.tv, which includes a promo video I edited. Below is the trailer for What's Cooking?
Allrecipes.com is made up of user generated recipes, so the concept of What's Cooking is that we go to users' homes, and have them show us their recipes and tell us the stories behind them. So instead of just seeing a recipe online and reading a description, this show allows the viewers to see where their favorite recipes comes from and hear the tips and tricks straight from the source.
Similar to shows like The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current TV, or DiggNation on Revision3, What's Cooking is a great example of how web video can really help make the most out of UGC (user generated content), by filtering out the best of the best and packaging it into a more watchable or entertaining final product.
It's been a blast so far and we've only shot 2 episodes (they'll go up in July), pretty soon we start traveling the country and shooting more episodes with allrecipes users all over the US!
Oh, and I almost forgot... follow us on twitter!
